My Newest Pictures

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I've had the opportunity to take some pictures of my tank. My tank is in San Luis Obispo but I was working in LA this summer, so it basically just did it's own thing. I came up about once a month to make sure nothing was critically wrong. The only bad things that happened was my ATO tube got kinked for a week so my salinity shot up to 1.029 and my calcium went up to about 550 for awhile. I brought them back slowly and now everything is all good again. I lost most of my hard corals, both LPS and SPS, but my softies are all huge now!

I had an old thread, but since it is a new apartment, I figured I would start a new thread. Here is the link to my old thread with additional photos: Old Photo Thread

Here are some pictures of my newest corals that I just picked up after summer. I will add a FTS soon.

If you click on the picture, it takes you to fliker, then click the 3 little dots on the lower right of the screen. choose show EXIF data, and it will tell you everything about the picture.

Yup, that's exactly right. I use a tripod, and remote for corals and post process a little in Lightroom. When I shoot fish I don't use a tripod and I shoot on Continuous mode.

Definitely tips I can accommodate into my own photography sessions whenever I decide to get serious about learning how to use the t3i.

What editing software are you using?

I use Lightroom for all of my photo editing, although I don't usually do a whole lot more other than add a vignette. I do up the contrast a little on some of them to give them a little extra POP.

Here's a few more from today.

I picked this up at the LFS for a huge discount because it wasn't doing so hot. I'm nursing it back to health and you can see the new pink coloring on the tips. It is supposed to be Red Planet but it's going to need a lot of coloring up...

I really shouldn't habe opened this thread... great now I have to have a macro lens...

Phenominal shooting!

How big is the watchman, he looks huge!

He is about 3.5" long and he loves to eat so he stays pretty fat as well. He has been in my tanks the longest so he's been in there for about 2 years.

wat lights do u have on this? your pics are amazing by the way!!

I have a TX5 which is a 5x39w T5 fixture made by Aquactinics. I currently have in it 3 blue+, an aquablue special, and a coral+, all made by ATI.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!
