My Olympus C-7070 went for a dive

I received an oly underwater housing for my camera for Christmas. Work and home renovation kept me too busy to play with it. But I had a chance tonight to take a few snaps.

Here is the housing I am using:

and here are some pics I took with it. They are simply resized. The darker pics are a result of the camera itself shading the coral from the overhead metal halides. As you can tell, I like furry Acropora.:)

Thanks! I'm not much of a photographer, but I'm practicing for my next dive trip.

The camera is a Olympus 7070. I got it for $470 last year. The housing cost around $300, but I think you can get them for under $200, now that the camera is discontinued.

Can I use different camera for the housing (like Nikon or Canon)?

I'm almost positive the housings are camera-specific. I have one for my Canon S400, and it works great. I think Canon makes housings for most of the Elphs, and the A series. Could be wrong though.

Correct, I believe Olympus contracts out Sea and Sea to make housings for them. This one can be used with the 7070 and 7060, I believe. While my model is discontinued, I think they make housings for the newer models as well.

I'm drooling over that box! I have an 8080 and have toyed with the idea of getting one of those for it, but am on the verge of a new camera so I figure I'll just wait and get one for the new cam.

Hey Mark, those pics are amazing, its incredible how much clarity suffers when photos are made through the glass. You should take more pictures of corals I've given you. Is the tricolor from me? I'll be tearing down my systems in the next couple months so hopefully you can come get you some more.
