my pair of clowns has started fighting =(

well my clowns that have been together for over 7 months in a 10 gallon tank are now .. well wrestling. pretty violently. false percs, how concerned should i be?

ones got a few nips out of his top fin.
i have no way to seperate them ( sump or second tank ) how long should i let this go one for before i bring them back to the <>< store?

You might need to get a bigger tank,clowns can be quite territorial.I have two saddleback clowns in a 46 gallon bowfront and the female chases the male all over,i did however bought an angel,who holds her own against the female and noticed the female isn't as aggresive towards the male anymore,a twenty or 30gallon tank would help too.

Did you get these both as juvies? my guess is that they are reaching sexual maturity and working out who is becoming the dominant female. When one submits to the other the fighting should stop
