I have a pair that lay like clockwork , I recently made some changes and added another pair next to them and they started eggs , has anyone ever experienced this ?

Clowns, sharks, whales,.sorry had to do it but im assuming you are talking about clown fish and I would say its a defense of a sort because of the other pair but just a guess

Clowns? Yes... Even what seems like minor changes can disrupt the egg laying cadence. I'd put something between them to obscure the view.

I had a pair that had to be feed a ton for them to not eat their eggs. It is frustrating. Used automatic fish feeder to feed them several times a day while i was at work. Solved problem. Recently sold them to make room for new pair. Best of luck with them.

I feel your pain about the fish eating the eggs. My pair has been laying eggs since Nov 2012 and to-date the male I believe is the one still eating the eggs sometimes half to 3/4 of the nest will be gone by the time it is hatch night. I try to feed like 3-4 times a day but he very seldom will come out of the pot to eat and the female gets all the food... I really need to find my auto fish feeder. Bought one but now I can't find it....
