Had a Perc 120 setup around 2 years and decided it needed a good clean 
I'd already replaced the Bio-Balls in the rear with filter sponges, and also added a TC V2 Bio cannister underneath which I've piped with plastic PVC piping, and I use a 2700 ltr/hr pump to run the bio reactor. Lighting is courtesy of a TMC V2 1200.
After FW dipping some of the live rock (and cleaning out lots of poop with a turkey baster) I replaced filter sponges and topped up the bio cannister. Tanks been recycling for around 3 weeks now, and water params are near perfect with 0 casualties :rollface:
Last thing I have to work on is reducing dKH and calc, which I'm doing with by-daily 10% water changes using Kent Marine salt.
The hammer in the pics is closed up after having a feed, but generally is open and has good extension daily.
Water params below, once dKH and Calc come down, plan is to start to introduce more LPS/SPS and a bubble to keep the clowns away from the Hammer :lolspin:
- Amonia = 0
- Nitrite = 0.1
- Nitrate = 2
- Phos = 0.03
- Ph = 8.0
- Mag = 1260
- Calcium = 650
- Kh = 19.5
- Salinity = 1.025
