My percula sleeps motionless

My tank goes complete darkness between 4am to 6am. This morning when I checked the clown by turning on the lights , one of them just lies motionless. I thought it was dead. I was about to use the net to scoop and then it moved a little like in shock with the light. then it was back to swiming nornal. Is that normal behaviour when clown goes to sleep?

yep, in fact all of my fish go to their favorite "staked out" place in the tank for the night.

My clowns have spots in the rocks right in the front of the tank, they cuddle up.

LOL, mine lay sideways and float. My ocellaris never have done this.

That pretty much what mine do to. I have two in one tank that lay sideways in the sand in the corner and one in another that floats up on the top all night. When the actinics kick on first in the a.m its alll back to normal swimming again

My tank is next to my bed and while I read at night after lights out, my ocellaris come and sit on the powerhead next to my reading nightlamp everyday. Its only when I switch of that light do they go in their corner and sleep.

My Clowns are the only fish I can see sleeping at night. They are so funny. All my other fish go behind one rock to sleep at night. I was surprised that they do not mind sharing. My sailfin tang, 5 chromis and coral beauty. But the 2 clowns stay right in front of the overflow. They just kind of hover there together looking up at the overflow. They almost sleep vertical.
