Hello,

i got a powder blue tang about 5" long. he usually swim everywhere but today he is at the bottom of the tank and does not move from the right bottom side. i dont know what is going on, but it also seems like he is pealing. i need your help please they me what to do. that has been the must expensive fish i had bought thank you.

Can you get a picture.

I'd try and do a water change first off, that's almost always my first course of action when fish appear sick.

Also, provide water parameters, like pH, salinity, nitrates, ammonia, temperature.

Tank stats like size in gallons and other inhabitants helps a lot too.

I see you put a picture in a second thread in this forum, great. Do you happen to have one that shows the diseased state? It looks fine in the pictures you have posted.

And do you have the other tank parameters and tankmates? That would help too.

how do i know if the fish has ich

That does not look like ich, ich will be noticeable white dots on the fishes fins, body and eyes. In the cases I've seen it, I always see it on the fins first, then the body and eyes. By that time, they already have it in their gills.

The fish will scratch on the rocks because of the irritation.

What you have doesn not look like ich to me, although I'm not sure what. It would be great if you had a clear picture.

bad news. today when i woke up, i when to see the tank and the fish was at the bottom, dead. thats sucks i paid $60 for it, and that was my daugther favorite fish.
Now what type of fish should i get for a reef safe and fish safe.

by the way i have 3 green chromis, 2 clown fish, 1 foxface, convict goby, and 1 cardinale. i want something that like to swim everywhere like the powder blue that i had...

I would not put a $60.00 fish in a 3 month old tank.
(I think you paid too much for it also)
You could get a bangai cardinal (about $15.00) very hardy does not hide much, if you like tangs, yellow tangs are fairly cheap.
You have some small fish like the green chromis so you can't put anything in there too agresive.
