thanks for your kind comments but its more like lack of equipment and neglect..lol just the basics I dose two part. t5's good bulbs a half way desend old aquamedic skimmer a huge refugium tons of flow. I'd love to have a totaly automated system with all the cool bells and wistles but you dont need them they just take some of the worry out of things.....sometimes...

I completely agreed! And still think that you have done a great job even if you feel that you don't have enough equipment or feel that you haven't give enough attention to it.
I'm about to set up my upgrade system. I'm going from a BioCube14 to an 120 Gallon Oceanic tank. I'm just waiting to get the last few pieces of equipment needed at Macna this fall. Are you planning to go?
So far I got the tank, MH + CF fixture, a beautiful sump/refugium, water reservoir for ATO and base rock. I'm thinking to get a main pump, a couple of Vortecs or Tunzes for recirculation. No skimmer for now, because I'm going to cycle this tank for three months before adding any fish or corals. That's my plan so far.

thanks Kemo....Jdantunes you have a plan and stick with it and I wish you luck with the patiences you will need not to put anything in your new tank for three months I know if it were me I couldnt stand it I'd have to put stuff in it lol...I do wish I could do it all over again I would have spent more time and effort building the aquascape ie: bonding my rocks together with either epoxy or hydraulic cement and hopefully ill be moving into a larger tank in the very near future and I will get the chance. I realy like the island look similar to the ching chai 1000 gallon build on here instead of the mountain of rock look.
