I just bought a small frag for my tank of some purple colored specled leather and it came attached to a rock and now about 4 days later it is comming detached from its rock. It looks white and messy where it is detaching which I know is a bad thing (probably dying I guess).
I placed it toward the top of my nano 12 dx and out of the way of high water flow. Looked really good at first but got knocked over my a snail or the emerald crab and was wondering if there is still any hope or is it dying.
It is comming detached at the base where the leather meets the rock.
Very disappointing to me because it was my favorite $7.99 coral I bought. Maybe Ill have to break down and buy a larger one.
Anything that would cause a leather to die off real quickly? I know my
calcium was low but Ive been steady adding agraMILK since I went to the lfs that day. My pH is slightly lower than I want it dipping down to 7.9 sometimes.
I can post a pic if anyone needs but should be self explanitory.
