So I worked the show for a bit with the local reef club and then I was free to hunt coral.

Here is what I picked up...

Left to right I have PC Rainbow acro, WWC SOTR mille, Unique Superman mille, MarkE sarmentosa, BioReef Beeker Bob's UFO chalice

Nice job I got a underwater world sunburst monti from probably the same guy you got your wwc somewhere over the rainbow and a rouge millepora from living reef

Guy from bi reef was selling them at a 100 for a nice 2" size . But I got a pc rainbow same size and the pc superman at pbmas swap 100 for the pair:bum:

I have been wanting a piece of PC Rainbow. I thought about driving down to Orlando too. What were they going for down there if you don't mind saying.

Bio-Reef in Jacksonville had 2" pieces for $100. If you can find it, it is a little more expensive down here in Orlando though. The guys at Bio-Reef have all kinds of high end sticks and you can see what the mother colony looks like. Fantastic store for sure.

Yeah man, same guy. It is James Keith that was selling the the SOTR and the monti. I really wanted the monti but ran into some issues on Saturday afternoon and that prevented me from spending the extra money to pick it up. James also has a frag of the Jaw dropper acro. I cannot wait till that is grown out. It is starting to look really good.

I cannot wait till that is grown out. It is starting to look really good.

I have 2 frags of wwc rainbow millepore and one under lower light and one in high light. When I got them they didn't have any color and the one in lower light is getting nice and red like my red planet so I moved the other one into the same area. Yes James has some nice corals and the UWW monti is insanely bright .

The UWW monti is one of the few montis that look nicer when the polyps go away. I was told to keep the SOTR in high light/flow. I will pay attention to it and see what happens.

I do have a 400watt 20k xm :worried:So when I said lower light for the SOTR I meant not right under the lamp like one piece was. The one that is coloring up is in the front and away from the lamp with good flow. I got it on March30 and was a little brown so in about a month it is red now. I was told lower light on the pc rainbow also and it is a month old now and is growing base but no crazy color yet.

OK cool. I have mine on a frag rack about 30" from the 250mh right now. I don't know if I can get the SOTR any higher based on my rock and I cannot lower the light fixture so I will just watch it and see what happens. After talking to the guys at BioReef I think I am fine with this placement for the PC Rainbow. Now it is time to watch and see what happens.

How's the sotr and super Mille?

I lost my SOTR 3-4 months back. The superman mille is a champ. Plug is fully encrusted and I have been able to make a few frags from it. Right now there are about 8 new stubs popping out. It took a while to get stable and happy but has been a champ ever since.
