My Reef Buddy Android app released today!

I was bored the other day and asked my local club what they wanted in a android app well they responded and I have gotten a few features working and figured it was time to let people test it out. Let this app auto update as I will be adding features over the next few weeks....

My Reef Buddy looks to be your helping hand with your saltwater fish tank. Weather you have a fish only aquarium or a full saltwater reef you will find My Reef Buddy helpful.

Features:

Search for information on fish, corals, and inverts easily.
Local Saltwater Fish Store Finder based on GPS with Google Maps.
Add tank reminders to Google Calendar such as water changes, feeding, testing levels, change GFO, plus more.

Ever been at the LFS or somewhere and need to know if a fish will work with your system? Now its easy to look it up and not waste money.

This is the first public version of My Reef Buddy so I would suggest letting it auto update if you are lazy and dont update your apps.....

Future plans include tank livestock list, tank shopping list, tank params log, plus more.

Okay well I just downloaded it and played around on it without setting anything up in the reminder's but I did look around. I like the fact that you can pull up the LFS's and go straight to a page that gives you their information without having to type anything really.

I like the reminders that you have on there. One thing if I could suggest; if it is possible for the bulb change, that you can put your bulb choice in there so if you can't remember which bulbs you have while you are at the store you can look it up on there and figure it out. I know I put it in my head what I need at the store and then when I get there I can't remember at all. Just saying it might help out a little.

I also like how it ties in your calender in the event's I found a party I was having on here not related to fish at all. I like this app.

Now I keep on digging...I really like this app. Cool and way to go TheReefNinja.

Found it with search on market. The live aquaria thingvis really cool but app force closes every time I push the reminder button.

Haven't gotten to play around with it much yet either but it forces close whenever I hit reminder also. Using an HTC Desire

I already have google calendar, its what I use for all my appointments and things. I'm on original Motorola Droid.

Any chance you'd be willing to add support for parsing the AquaController RSS/xml data to show it in the app as well? This is one thing I've been missing since switching to anroid from my iPhone...

Just downloaded it... Whenever I click on the reminders button, brings up the force close screen. I am on a droid incredible, and allready have the google calender.

Ok so it looks like the reminders is a issue with phones that the company replaced the calendar with there own version. I will put a check in it so if it does not have the right stuff it will tell you instead of crashing.

Well, so far, no issues! I've set up 2 scheduled reminders, with no issues at all!

I do find the tool to find LFSs a lil funky. It found some of the LFS, in my area, though not all, AND it found tons of places that are NOT LFS, such as a coin collector store...lol.
