My Reef Tank - Picture

In Memoriam
Ok, I finally got around to taking a panorama view of my tank. This is 3 images put together so there might be some lines or duplicated fish.

The Stylo, Blue Acro, Yellow Acro, and Derasa are from the most recent GB.

The brown algae is a phase the tank goes through very early in its life time, say 2-5 months tops. After that, I would be concerned about a nutrient problem. The tank looks cool, I like the rocks too. How long have you had the orange linckia?

kirsten, SHARKBAITNC, 24gnanonewbie - thank you all for you compliments.

aztbs - thanks for your input on my question. That's what I thought. I remember going through some algea phases with my 29 for the first 6 months maybe longer. I just moved my 29gallon reef to this 90 gallon about 4 months ago. There was new rock and new sand that had to be cycled so even though a lot of the corals are older, the system itself is still pretty young. My parameters have been really good since setting up, so I wondered why I was getting algea even with undetectable nitrates and phosphates. I think it will grow out of it. I guess I'll just have to grin and bear it for now.

Orange Linckia came on the first GB about 2 weeks ago.

Looks great!

I love the frogspawns that I got from you. They grow so well. Thanks again.

If you'd like, do you have room for some hydnopora?

Thanks OceanLyons - Sure, I could out it in the middle ravine. I can pick up whenever. PM me what's good for you.
