My reef tank

Just a thread to see what you guys think of my tank its around 180 litres. my first tank ever. i've had it for about a year. my fish all got white spot and are now in the QT of my local fish shop.

Fish I currently own
Clowns x2
Blue Tang
Yellow Tang
Valentine Puffer

Any tips on which extra fish i should get as long as corals would be appreciated

First, welcome to RC! It sounds like you have a couple large fish for such a relatively small tank. 180 liters come out to about 50g, if I calculated correctly. Which blue tang is the blue? Powder/Regal/Hippo/etc.

Blue tang is hippo,
but is only a baby, 2-3cm. planning to get a bigger tank once i've learnt the basics, so hopefully by the time he gets to big for the tank.

Look for a good used tank system. There is a person in the Orlando area that has a 125 gal for less then 800 bucks (stand and tank). But that is a bit of a drive for you...

Watch out with that puffer. i had one in a softies/lps tank and he started eating my open brain coral, like yours on the upper right corner.

I would have to say, that, the red slime on the bottom, is a kind of cyno algae which is linked with high nitrates and lots of po4. I would go through and test your water. Nice tank otherwise

That would prolly be a dream for him. Tanks over there are so much more expensive then over here in the USA. If I ever move back I can't see myself being able to afford the hobby sadly.

I love your tank but think you have too many large fish in the tank. That means you probably feed them a bit too much. Makes maintaining the chemistry a bit difficult.
