My retirement plan

OK, here's the plan, upon retirement hubby promised me I could build my dream tank, 4'x10'x30" as a room divider in our 2 story cedar log home. I'll probably be doing a lot of mail order buying and trading as this is real small town...population 192.

Here's the second part of the plan....One picture is worth a thousand words...that's our boat dock in the background and yes, the fish was CATCH AND RELEASE!!

12 months, 26 days, 14 hours, 15 minutes....BUT WHO'S COUNTING...

Why won't my picture load???I've done it before, it's a JPEG, it's been resized and in my gallery, but it won't show up on the page...am I having a blonde moment and missing a step?
I've copied the tag from my gallery into the part but I keep getting an X-box like above (and not the good kind)

That has to be the rudest post I've seen. Oldtimer? I wouldn't consider this person an oldtimer at all. Also, just because someone planned for their retirement doesn't mean they have $$$$$$$$. And you ask "Why do people get PERSONAL on here" Maybe you should have taken the time to read the title before you decided to take an interest in something you are obviously against!

And your personal interests you have listed "juicy butts" and "boobs" are a not something you should share on this site.

Thankfully it's still a free country. To the mods if the pic is a violation of the forum rules, please delete it and accept my apologies. I have made a lot of good friends on this site, they have been to my house and I have been to theirs. I've given away frags and had people generously give frags to me when my tank crashed last year. I've worked 2 jobs for over 34 years to get to this point and JR I'm guessing you don't have the gray matter OR the brass matter to do something like that yourself. A lot of $$$$$ - no, just a lot of hard work and smart planning. To my friends your loyalty is both welcome and appreciated. Pity some of today's youth view rude comments as witty repartee, they could stand to learn something from us OLDTIMERS !

Ladipyg, nice catch, I look forward to the time when I can spend my days fishing and reefing, but I have a good 30+ years to go still, and with the state of social security, probably longer!

Wow....Didn't your mother ever teach you that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it? I understand you were trying to help and express concern about posting personal information, but there's a nice way to do that and a just plain rude way. You chose the latter.

Ladipyg- Sounds like an excellent retirement plan. That sounds like a pretty sweet tank too. That'll be a fitting reward for bustin' your rear for all those years.

I hope you don't allow tkudlik to represent us "youngsters" as a whole. He has no tact and a whole lotta growin' up to do.

hansfrans...I know there are many WONDERFUL, smart, intelligent and caring "youngsters" out there...and you find your way into this hobby like most of us do, because you care about living things and this world in general and let me say as an "oldster" I'm happy to have you because none of us live forever and the youth of today will be tomorrow's oldsters.
To paraphrase something I once read:
When I die, I do not want to be well-preserved, I want to run at life full tilt, have fun on this crazy journey we call life and when the times comes go sliding to my end in a cloud of dust, yelling "YAHOOOOO BABY...WHAT A RIDE!"
So thanks and enjoy both love & life, tomorrow is promised to no one...
