The tank is currently stock, although I have purchased submersible lights and I plan on converting the center chamber into a fuge with cheato.

I am not 100% positive the lighting is going to be enough, but I will be watching it very closely. I have my main reef tank if things start to go in the wrong direction. I also have been looking into the option of better lighting.

The sand in the tank is over a month old and the rock is straight from an established tank. There are not any cycle issues. I am also doing very frequent water changes.

dont believe that lighting hype ! I kept bta's under n.o. flourescents for most of the early 80's -no problems..

I kept a RBTA in my 14 gallon biocube and it lost its red coloration in the course of about 8 months. I took off that light and put a 150 MH pendant over it. It appears to be regaining its red color. So my advise would be to get a MH light.

Here's my tank with the new light over it
