My Royal Gramma

really it isn't looking to good. It has started to lose scales and the dorsal fin look as if it has been nipped at by something. I had kept the tank at school for the past year and everything was fine until just recently the school had an electrical fire and i had to pull a rescue mission with everything and anything living in the tank. I lost one of my clownfish because of the transfer to the new tank at one of my community experts when i asked if he could take care of them until the electricity was back on. Right now the royal gramma is lying on its side at the bottom of the tank but everytime i use the net to pick it up it begins to runaway and starts to flee. It is not eating and i really want to know whats wrong with it. if you think you know what might be the problem feel free to post.

have you tested the water since the move? did you move to a new tank, or move the entire system? it sounds like a possible ammonia issue, an uncycled tank, or disturbed sandbed could cause this.
as for the fish, it is probably too late, i would test water and do a water change, and hope for the best.
sorry for the losses, i hope something great happens and he comes back.
