Hi all! Some good news!
First, a little background. I had a sebae for about 2 years. I stupidly neglected replacing my compact lights, which got old. I have a pink skunk clown that was hosting in the sebae.
Well, the anemone moved around and then it settled in the back of the tank. I did not like there, but did not want to tear from the rock. So what did I do? i stupidly moved some rock around it so it would be in the shade. I figured I could coax it to move. Well three days later I had managed to kill this specimen. Leason learned the hard way. I should have realize that this animal needed food and that my lights were old.
I replaced my lights (jezz what a difference) and I waited to see if my clown would show some interest in the two bubble tips that live in my tank. Maybe a little curiosity, but no interest. The clown looked real sad. For some reason, I had not seen any sebaes at my LFS, but i was not in a hurry, although the clown looked pathetic.
Well, about 5 weeks ago I went to a new pet shop near me. They have a real sad salt water section, but they had two 'purple tip anemones'. these animals were housed under poor lighting (which I pointed out to them) but I decied I would take a chance with one of them, I figured I could save it. The specimen looked pale yellow/green, likely bleached, but seemed healthy.
My clownfish dove right in. I had a little problem getting it to stay where I wanted, but I finally seem to have found a good mix of rubble/rock/flow.
Today I noticed that it is starting to get a little brown  which I believe means that the zooxantalle is coming back
All in all, things seem to be looking good (knock on wood)
and wouldn't you know it, my LFS http://www.finandfeatherpets.com/index2.html finally got some great looking specimens ::sigh::
