I need to stay out of the second hand stores....i bought 4(four) 65g tanks for 10 bucks each..now what do i do..well lets see 1st off i "upgraded" my kids goldfish tank...and with the stuff i had in the closet i have 90% of the stuff i need to set these "left over tanks" up as salty tanks.....like i need another tank(wifes words) but honestly this will be my limit on tanks because i am out of room to say the least...any more tanks and i will have to buy a new house and thats out of the budget to say the least...now i gotta buy more equipment...figure out what to stock with and ENJOY my additional wet pets.

tanks on hand(not counting sump tanks)
210g fowlr
90g reef (in the works)
55g fresh water
65g fresh water
65g goldfish
65g fresh water planted
45g tall fresh water
20g aquatic frogs
(3) "new" 65g tanks to set up

Lol. You're getting to sound like our house down south JUST before we moved. Beware. What about a seahorse/pipefish planted tank? You could also do what we did, and dig up the back yard to turn it into a koi pond.

Wow, that is unreal! I'm having a hard enough time convincing the wife on a second (large fowlr) tank, lol.

LIKE...noo LOVE this idea seahorse pipe planted tank...no koi pond my dog would be swimmin and fishin 24/7/365 and no place to put one due to shape and size of yard

still looking for stocking ideas for the(3) 65g second hand store find...45 days of "leak test"..ready to add salt water/sand/rock and start cycle...still no clue of how i am gonna stock...

You could do some species tanks...jawfish in one, lions in the other. I think 65 is adequate for dwarf lions can't recall off the top of my head.

This would be my choice:

1- clams and shrimp or other cool marine inverts that would not do well in other tanks.

2- seahorses

3- fowlr or reef with fish incompatible with your other tanks. Or set it up as a display refugium.

Frog fish? They are cool! Would probably have to be a species tank though as they are stupid aggressive. And hunters.
