I was under the impression that fuel and reef energy where similar.

I used it before and during the start of reef energy use. I got really low nutrients and it actually helped. Once I finished the fuel I have kept using reef energy with a higher dose. Ive been pleased with the result so far but Im considering the ME corals polipe extender but if I go that route it will be in conjuction with reef energy.
At the moment I dose reef energy A&B, red sea potasium k, lugols and trace elements.
I also use a doble stage calcium reactor and kalk stirrer with and ATO and aqualifter.
I built my own equipment, skimmer, kalk stirrer, calcium reactor, tank, overflow and sump.
I'll post pics of my systems tomorrow.

Interesting, I've been thinking about switching from fuel to reef energy.

I started to use reef energy recently so Im still judging its efects on my reef.
When I started I still had fuel and my sistem is ULN so I didnt see any ill effects.
