I have one peeper mint shrimp and his legs just vanished over night. I found him on the bottom of the tank. I also found his molted exoskelton. The shrimp looked fine just no legs.

Sounds like he wasn't able to hide well enough during molting and some predator ripped his legs off. Do you have crabs or other shrimp? They would be the likely culprits.

The shrimp was eaten by the killer hermits which I have been defending I bought a new pep and I saw him get jumped by the hermits and killed. Hermits have no invitation in my tank anymore just shrimp and snails.

Probably had a molting problem. It your shrimp can stay alive it will grow new legs back.

That's what I was thinking. If he couldn't remove the exo, he might have accidentally ripped off his own legs.:eek2:

The shrimp was eaten alive. I have three scarlet, three blue tip, and three orange tipped.
Poor shrimp.

it was prob the blue tipped or orange tipped. I had some blue tipped be4 during the summer and they would kill my snails and stuff, never had any shrimp with them before.

I now have 2 scarlets in my 3gal and so fat there fine, I got them b/c I heard there the least deadly out of all the hermits

Hmmm maybe the crabs were hungry and not getting much food from anything in yor tank.... since you have no fish they cant get any leftover food.. soooo they just cannibulize(dont no if I spelled that right)

The hermits could steal food from the corals mostly mysis shrimp. I would watch the hermits eat about 2 shrimp each and then disappear into the rocks.
