My skimate?

Does this seem like to little skimmate for 2 days to you? I have a very light bio-load, just making sure my skimmer is performing well. It is a Turboflotor 1000, on a 55G tank with 80lBs LR, 1 Ocellerious Clown, 1 Yellow Watchmen Goby, and one Tiger Pistol shrimp, I only feed once a day and have been using flake, about 1 medium pinch. This is 48hrs of skimate, does it seem ok?

I wish my skimmate looked like that! seriously though, I have a LIGHTLY stocked 55.. A yellow tang and a clown. I have a huge custom skimmer and it really doesn't skim much at all. Don't get me wrong - it skims, but its not dark colored like yours. Course then again, perhaps my 150+ lbs of rocks between the display and sump/fuge is taking care of everything.. who knows.
Back to your question - yes - awesome skimmate.

well it's not really tht dark the picture seems to make it darker it really is mabye a little darker then a light tea. It's only been running for about 10 days total, does it still have more time B4 it is fully "broken in"? Will it get a little darker?

That looks pretty solid to me for that bioload. Work in a nitrate test, see how you're doing.

Ok Nitrate is right around 20ppm, which is a little higher then normal, it usually runs arund 10 or so, but it is probably my fault for nto cleaning out the filter media as often as I should . Im still stuck on my freshwater days, and can't convince my-self to yank the mechanicle filtration, I just don't see what is going to catch physical particals if I have no mech. filter.

Looks good to me, especially for a new skimmer. Don't worry about yanking the machanical filtration. The skimmer will pick up a lot of the particulate matter. I find chunks of stuff in mine all the time.

Nice to see others think it's doing good, I do like it better the the CSS it replaced. I know everyone seems to like the CSS but it just gave me too many problmes, between overflowing, and a TON of micro bubbles, so far im happy with the Turboflotor. Leave it to the Germans their good engineers, I might be a little biased I drive a VW Jetta but....

I did consider the Remora for a whil after hearing all the rave reviews, vut settled on this one, as I said the skimate is not really as dark as the picture, but it's still new, and with such a small bio-load Im not expecting black
