My Squamosa don't look right.

Hey everyone, I just took a pic of my squamy and it doesn't look too good. I think the colors are fading. It sits on the sandbed of a 75aga and I'm using a 6x54watt Tek Light. I had the clam for about a year now and it has doubled in size, but now I've noticed the color to look a little drab...what should I do. Also, I've been having some green algae growing on the shell of the clam...what is it and how do I prevent it from growing?

I think the color looks to be better now. do you have any snails in your tank? they should keep the algae at bay

i think the color is fine. the algae is a nutrient issue, battle it like you would any other algae
