My sump design

I already have the silicone drying, so maybe I should have asked this sooner :(
My sump is a 29g tank that I've decided to split into 3 compartments with 2 baffles. From left to right: skimmer in left, live rock/rubble in middle, return pump on right. I decided not to do the whole microbubble baffle thingy because I figured by the time the water cascades over the first baffle, goes through the LR and then over the 2nd baffle and through the return pump that has a pre/sponge on it, the chances of the dreaded microbubbles would be minimal.

K--here's the issue or possible miscalculation. The tank is 18" high, the first baffle is 12" high and the 2nd baffle is 10" high. Is the 2" difference in height between the 2 baffles too little, should I have made the 2nd baffle even shorter than 10"? There are about 12 1/2 " between baffles.

The seals haven't fully dried yet so I guess it's not too late...or am I overthinking this?

It's late....

Wish I knew about the height difference but just don't. You might post this on the DIY forum where people have lots of experience with building sumps. I'd be interested to know also.

Just bumping this to see if anyone would chime in before I fill everything up. I checked back on Melevs site and one skimmer/fuge/pump layout said the baffles could all be the same height. So maybe its no big deal...
