My tank is dying

Hi to everybody.

I'm sorry if this is not the right forum to post my message, and I'm sorry for my english...

This is my problem:

Last october my heater didn't work properly and the high temperature for about four days (I was abroad) killed many corals, fishes and shrimps. A very big drama.

Some corals and fishes survived.

The problem is that since that period my tank has had very big difficulties: many weeds are in the water and they cover rocks and corals.

Obviously i've been trying many solutions: changing all the water three or four times, keeping the hqi light off for many days (the weed quickly grow up under that light), cleaning rocks and corals etc...

No way to solve the problem: yesterday I turned on the lights and in few hours the weed are back again. They also float on the surface, reducing the light.

The colour of the weeds is green/brown, full of very little bubbles of oxigen on their surface. They are not like a coat but like small filamentous, like moss I mean.

What can I do? I really don't know...

These are three pics which show the actual situation:

Because of the air bubbles, it almost looks like some for of cyno. Is the stuff slimy? Can it be siphoned/removed from the glass easily?

Cyno is a bacteria and is not easy to eliminate. Improving water conditions may not eliminate it (at least that is my experience).

Although I normally do not recommend chemicals, the only way I've gotten rid of cyno in my tank is with Red Slime Remover from Ultralife or Chemiclean from Boyd Enterprises.
