That's awesome Larry! Thanks for sharing. You said you wanted to hide the pipes - How are you planning to do that? Foam? Aragocrete? Or rock or something else?

But I think you're going to need to upgrade your lighting or those twisty CF bulbs have come a long way! J/K

Thanks! I actually will be using 48" T-5s (X4) and 175W MH (X2) for lighting, and I am still using Brian's old 80 gal. acrylic as a sump under the tank - I will post more pics once I SEAL THE #&@* leak.

Looking good man tell us about your equipment your setting up/using return pump, skimmer, lighting etc.. I really like the background on the tank it's different and cool as well=)

Pumps : Reef flo Darts (x2); skimmer : DIY Prestwood Death-skimmer; Lights - 48" T-5s (X4) + 175W MH (X2); sump-80 gal acrylic; DIY Ca reactor; DIY Top-off; tank return - can't remember!?!

THe background is actually a redo of the one I had befor. My wife showed me how to do it (she learned from her brother, who worked at Capitol in the 1970s). THe background is ment to look like distant structures, I guess. Thanks for the compliments!

Update - got Death Skimmer from Brian P. ready to set up. I think I will go with external, and keep it in a Rubbermaid container until I am sure it is *water*tight*. I have about 40 gal. of water purified and mixed and in tank, and another 40 - 45 gallons of Chez Prestwood seasoned water in the sump! I need to get a couple of reflectors for the 175 MHs. Any input on what brand, and what to line the top of the hood with? I want it to be fairly reflective, but the last time I used that insulating/reflective stuff, and as it aged, stuff flaked off into the tank. I want to go with something else this trime.
