Moving right along :)
How long did it take you to setup your rock like that? I think it looks great. You have some nice caves and it seems to be fairly open rock work.

What kind of lighting are you using? What are you using for water flow? How big is that tank?

Great job it looks good!

honestly, i dont know how long it took ....but it was long!!...LOL....

i just made sure that water would flow through the caves.....its only a 15g tank....and for flow i have an AC110 as a fuge....and that rated to 500 gph....and a power from walmart that rated 170gph...and i have a little power that im unsure what its rated...but its keeps the right bottom corner of the tank clear of detrius

and for lighting...a 20watt 50/50 (10,000k) coralife compact flourescent ...and one of those spiral bulbs i got from walmart....its 20 watts (6,500k)........so yea, only 40 watts total.....everything seems to grown just fine since they are all low light corals....i think the toughest coral in my tank is supposed to be the frogspawn...but its doing great, fully opened and i can see the mouth

im gonna be upgrading the lights soon....any suggestions

Very nice. I like your rockwork as well... I wish I had my tank up and ready so I could get some of that tonga from WaynesWorld! Oh well... all in due time, I suppose. :)

That tank is 20" long right? If you wanna stay under or around $100 and keep a clean look, I'd go with the 20" Current dual 40 watt light or the 20" 96 watt quad aqualight. But it all depends on what you want to keep really.

Steve

ive been looking at those coralife 96 watt quad light for quite some time now....i'll probably be getting them sometime in the middle of the week......my birthday tomorrow...so i should be getting some $$$$$......woo hoo

I like the dual 40 watt better because the daylights and actinics are seperate. So you could run them on timers, have the actinics come on first and turn off last. It also has a white lunar light.

Steve

I don't think they stock those lights? Last time I was there only hoods I seen was the halides. Maybe I overlooked. You can find them online though. Maybe even luck up and find a used one on ebay. You could also go with a 24" light. I have a 24" Current 65 watt light over my 10 gal. Only hangs over 2" on each side. Doesn't look bad. You need to think about what you really want to keep though. Current has a 20" 150w Sunpod hood that would probably be nice.

Steve

i mainly want to keep softies...and easy stuff....i wont be getting into clams, anemones, SPS, or any other difficult stuff because i know i wont be able to afford the lighting to keep them up....maybe once i get into my career and makes lots of $$$.....i trying to just get my feet was with a SW tank...since this is my first one

im gonna take new pictures tomorrow...once the sand storm settle....i ended up taking everything out of my 15g and putting it in my 20g.....and the water is still a little cloudy

hopefully you'll get that 24" pc light soon. Did you find out how many watts and brand? Can't wait to see the new setup. I really like my 20. March 23rd, it will have been up 2 years. I'm fixin' to upgrade to T-5s on it.

Steve

as promised wooglin.....here are some new pics....of new frags (courtesy of wooglin)

i placed this blue shroom in the very front...but the flow keeps taking it to the back left corner

and here's my new rock layout....in a new tank and stand i purchase from danieljames...everything was taken from my 15 gal

KIF_2403.jpg

you guys like it??!?!?....im gonna try to keep it something like this from now on

Looks good, the one you could not identify is a devils hand. The other is orange and yellow clove polyps. It looks good, nice and open. You should move the sps frag you superglued to the small rock (by the way good job with the sps frag), to the top of the tank, it will need all the light it can get from your PC's.

Looking good.
