My toadstool

Is it normal for a Toadstool to bend? I have had it for about a month in fairly moderate flow and it's polyps come out everyday. Am I just being paranoid?

i'd say it's "normal". it's just adjusting to the most optimal flow for itself. kind of like how a plant will grow towards the light, i.e. pointing its leaves and branches toward the sun/window.

discoloration, shrinking, deformation (e.g. holes, dents, swellings, etc.) or retraction of the polyps are the main things to look for when there's a possible problem. hth
