My trip to Phishy.

Here is what I got down there at Phishy's. But first let me say something, I didn't know black Friday was for saltwater hobbyist as well. I got there a little after they open, and there was already a huge line of people buying stuff. I was lucky to even purchase anything that I wanted. Me I wasn't down there specifically for the black Friday sale, might have to camp out at the store next time though ;). Anyways just like to share what I got down there, and maybe others could chime in on what they got at salty's or any other place as well.

This is an impulse buy, wife wanted a show piece.

Couple frags of blastos, larger size head forgot the names though. Was hoping to get a purple one, but was all gone by the time I got there or they didn't have any in.

And a whole bunch of Rics. Hopefully I can frag some out as they have multiple heads on them.

And also got a whole lot of snails and crabs to help me clean the tank. All in all I think I got a pretty good deal today, because wife didn't complain at all.

I was there when they opened and there was quite a few people waiting for the doors to unlocked. I was able to pic up a few ricordeas myself along with a bunch of cleaners. Would be nice if you could get the internet pricing when you go in. Not bad though.

I was the second or third person in the door and I still ended up standing in line to get checked out for a good 15 minutes. I was totally not expecting that many people there right away!

Since I had already been to AA and Jacks (and spent more money at those places than I expected) I only got an Acan and Favia.

I was a disappointed with Phishy because I was down there exactly two weeks before and bought an Acan out of their Acan frag tank for $20. Yesterday, the same tank of frags was $25. So much for 25% off! I would expect that kind of stuff from a big retail store, but I thought Phishy would be above that.

I saw them at $25 last Thursday when a bunch of us carpooled to Columbus from Cleveland. Marc Levenson even commented on how cheap they were at only $25 and he probably has pictures of that tank since he was trigger happy that day :)
