my Urchin is smokin' ?

My son called me over to the reef to see the urchin sitting on the top of the rockwork and it looks like smoke is coming from it. What is going on?

Its possible that it is spawning

Yes, spawning. I used to have 16 urchins that came as tiny hitchhikers on live rock. Most of them would all spawn at once every month. One of the coolest things I've seen in my tank.

They tend to do that when temp gets too high for them. Like a last survival responce.
