My urchin turned into a fish!

Okay not really, but a really bizarre thing happened. My pincushion urchin went missing, no idea where he is. I've looked all over the tank, under rocks, and in the overflow. He's not small either, but no where to be found. Ammonia is 0 and nitrates are in the 40 range ( normal ) and nitrites are 0. I'm not sure if he's hanging on alive some how some where, I honestly don't know what else to do other than remove rocks until I find him. He's been missing for at least a week now.

Now to the fish part, first a little back story. I bought this 120g established tank about 2 months ago. I drained the tank to about an inch of water for the sand bed to stay wet, and drove 30 minutes to bring it home. The tank sat for a few hours while I got it up and running ( Fish were in a different tank while I took my time getting the tank together ). Now the even more bizarre part, when I was looking for the urchin I checked the overflow and I found a fish in the overflow, the previous owner did not mention this fish when I got the tank and I've never seen it before. Its about 2-3 inches long, mostly clear, with some pretty blue around his body. He's very scared and doesn't like coming to the top very often. I can't catch him in the overflow so I think I'll have to take the pipes off and let him fall into the sump. I'm just really shocked this fish is alive and have no idea how that's possible. I suppose maybe there was water in the overflow when I moved the tank that he stayed in, but to be hours without oxygen?

Anyways that's the story, I'll update what kind of fish he is when I finally get him out, too hard to get a clear pic when he does come to the top. As for the Urchin, I'm still kind of at a loss what to do.

Oddly I can't find my urchin either. It's been two weeks since I've seen him last. I'm guessing he's either wedge and can't get out or just happy where he is. My overflow is covered and my tank has a canopy so he must be in there somewhere.

Long story short; urchin is missing and there is a previously unknown fish in the overflow.

My answer would be; Urchin died and got eaten, fish was living in the overflow all along.
