Yesturday I picked up 2 very very small frags of zooanthids. About 6 polyps on each frag.
Anyways, I have them at the very bottom of my tank. They are all open except for 1 polyp on each frag.
One of the frags is a simple maroon colored polyp. The polyps are all the way open and the tentacles or hairs or w.e you want to call them are out and pointing down. Almost like the thing wants to turn inside out.
The other one is supposedly a zooanthid species native to the atlantic ocean. Is anyone aware of what kind of zooanthid this is?
That one is smaller but the hairs are actually pointing up toward the light which I believe means it is looking for more light?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Zac
