Your whole house is southwestern. Why not keep the idea going with something like mesquite for the doors. That way you have an old southwestern style to it.
For the doors I would use a sahuaro rib. I have seen it used as doors for a house and it looks awesome. Of course with some treatment and a sealer. There is even an artisan here in Tucson that fills the natural holes of mesquite with turquiose. Both are a very nice southwestern look. I cant wait to see what it turns out like.
