Mysterious Coral Object?

Hello! Today I noticed a weird ball floating around the water column. Even though I only have an 8 gal it seems to have floated somewhere out of sight and I was unable to get a picture of it quick enough. I was wondering if anyone knew of a coral that reproduced in a similar fashion. I can tell you it was pinkish/purple, with a dot on it, and the size of the head of a small thumb tack. I will keep an eye on the tank to try and provide a picture, but if anyone has any guesses that would be great! I was wondering if it was possibly a baby ricordea that was just closed up and being blown around in the current, but I don't know what baby rics look like when closed. The current stock in the tank is 3 colors of zoas, a kenya tree coral, pulsing xenia, a lavender mushroom, 5 ricordea florida, and a blasto. I don't think it could be related to livestock but I have 1 snowflake ocellaris, 1 peppermint shrimp, and 1 hi fin red banded goby.

I have had similar before from the mussidae type corals. They release an egg mass it can break up once it gets to the surface.

From the list you mentioned it would be most likely blasto.

Not sure about the fish you have, but some fish like dottiebacks have similar masses. The Goby also might be a possibility.
