Mysterious fish death

I've had a juvenile hippo tang for probably close to 2 months now. Literally one minute the fish is fine. The next it's dead being eaten up by shrimp and crabs. I suspect a predator took him down but I have no idea what it could have been as I really have nothing aggressive and never notice any fish bother each other. Regardless, it's a sad day =(

It was dead laying next to my hammer. Touching it a little. Maybe the hammer somehow took it down? I find it highly unlikely but maybe I'll convince myself that's what happened just for closure haha
