Mystery Disease...

My tank is about two months old now. When I added my first two yellowtail damsel the tank had cycled and ammonia levels were kept very low (.1) and has been reducing with every water change. Nitrites 0 and nitrates also very low.

The two damselfish were fine for 2 weeks, when overnight they both died, showing different symptoms completely though...

One fish was very lazy looking, sitting on the sandbed not moving much. Other than this, he looked ok physically.

The other fish seemed to be swimming as if posessed around the tank and up near the top gasping for air. He was missing chunks of his fins and looked like he was attacked?

I could not figure out what happened, checked levels and everything was ok (ammonia less than .1, no nitrites, and no nitrates by this point). Water changes were still reducing the ammonia. I waited a day or two and put another damselfish in.

He has been fine for almost 2 weeks and overnight he went downhill. When I woke up half his tail fin was rotting away and his entire body seemed ragged and raised in spots. He is moving about fine and eating well, but looks terrible. He has some white lines going laterally along his body in certain areas (looks like scar tissue) and has formed a large white fuzzy spot about the size of his eye.

Is this ICH? I hope not :(

It doesn't sounds like ich as ich would show as grains of salt all over the fish.
Fin rot would not kill overnight like you described above. Fin rot takes many days to even develop.

Is the temperature ok? Any electricity leaks?
Are any of the fish particularly aggressive?
