Can anyone tell me what this looks like?
Here is some background
This was out largest fish, she is still alive. The other fish (including 2 tangs, 1 mandarin, 1 blenny and 2 clown fish) died with in a day of showing symptoms, they include, enlarged mouth, strange sores, twitching.

This did not effect the chromis or wrasses.

I tried to attach them directly, but it looked really bad, please check out the pics here

This is in a reef tank

Might be a good idea to remove the remaining fish to QT.....and leaving the tank fallow for 5-6 weeks to let whatever it is in there cycle out. Could be a variety of things, my guess is an initial parasitic infection with follow on bacterial infections.

If it killed as quickly as you say, my guess would be Brook, at any rate getting everyone in QT where you have the ability to treat with antibiotics is a good idea.

Thanks for the reply!

Would love to take the fish out, but he hides in his caves, and we cant break down the caves with out killing coral.

Anything you would suggest to add chemical wise?

Black ich. A parasitic worm. You've got a problem. We just had a case of this hit this forum, and the treatment of choice is up in the stickies under how to tell what you've got and how to treat.

You'll need to pull all fish to quarantine to treat, and the stuff is now in your sandbed. The good news is, if you can get all fish into qt and leave them there about 8 weeks, it will die out of your tank sandbed...

Read the sticky on how to catch an uncatchable fish: it will work, scary as it is, and not disturb your rockwork or damage your corals. You'll get them all at once.

Your inverts can stay in your display, just fine.
