Mystery Shrimp ID Please

Evening all....

I have a shrimp that has appeared behind a suction cup - I don't know whether it has grown in there as there is no possible means of getting under it - well not the size he is now.... 3mm

There are small white crustaceans all over the glass in the dark areas behind the LR look like small snails about 1mm across there are a few of these behind the suction cup - are these shrimp "cocoons" or just coincidence, there are also about 3 tiny shrimp in the suction cup as well less than a mil across.

It may not be a shrimp at all. Could be an amphipod they are about 2 - 3 mm.

Thanks for that yes it is - do they grow from the circular shells? or are they something else?

the other small whit crustaceans could be copepods - but would need a visual to ID.

Here's an intresting fact about copepods - They are the only one eyed animal in the world. All these pods are very beneficial to your tank.

deff not copepods they seem to be fixed like snails?!?! they don't do anything and are surrounded by small sponges.

Do you know if all the white "roots" under the sand are spag worms? I moved the sand and there were dozens of these things looked like plant roots

the things with the circular shells are going to be Spirorbid Worms.

I had lots of those when I first established my new tank. However i don't see them anymore now.
