Mystery wrasse mystery?

Seems the Mystery wrasse I've had for a few months has disappeared. Checked everywhere inside and outside the tank. Dont have any inside pets other than the fish. Anyone with more experience with this particular fish have any ideas as to what may have happened?

If he's not in the overflow or sump, he may be somewhere on the carpet if you don't have a covered tank. If you have aggressive fish like a trigger in the DT or sump, the mystery wrasse may have been eaten as well. Hopefully it's not one of these scenarios, though.

Check the sump and overflow (mine got in there a few times). He could also be hiding the the rockwork or burried himself in the sand bed.

Impossible for the wrasse his size to fit through the overflow, looked several times on the tile floor. Tankmates include a yellow tang, fishers angel, and a percula clown. Must be hiding really well in the rocks.

I just lost my 6 line wrasse on Sunday. I can't find him, looked in the overflow and sump. He jumped out one time and I happen to hear it and he got into the overflow one time, that was a pain. I've had him for 6 years and he was gettting real fat, he may of had a heart attack. If he died the cuc sure did clean up fast. He liked to tease other fish, I will miss him.

I have never had one, but I know they are Champions at Hide 'n Seek- especially in a tank with a lot of rock work. Do you have a CUC.....any crabs, shrimp, etc?

I have various snails, no shrimp or crabs. It's just odd because for several months he would be all over the tank and now there's no trace of him. The other three fish act normal but the wrasse is M.I.A.

I also lost a hawkfish about a year ago the same way, no trace of him at all and he was perfectly healthy. I have a few blue/red hermits and brittle star, but they don't hurt anything. You would think that if he was dead you would at least see a fin or something somewhere. I hope you wrasse shows up.
