mystery wrasse question

Saw one today at the lfs and the colors didnt seem to look that good,it wasnt under any kind of good lighting and they said it would look better once it was in a reef.Is this true?

I think so when i got saw mine for the first time in a LFS its color was kind of light but, ofcourse with was probably due to new shipment stress. After i brought it home it hid for 2 days (maybe more) but then it eventually came out and its color was inhanced or at least better than b4.

Mine was the same way! After a few weeks he get much better color. His tail was clear, then became purple in time with blue spots. They get better in time...
