Mystery Wrasse

Looking in to buying one of these. Just bought a cover for my tank to prevent any jumping. I was wondering if I would have any problems. I currently have a 60g cube mixed reef with a yellow tang, pair of occ. clowns, royal gramma, and a purple firefish.

The firefish may be intimidated, hide and die.

Thanks for the input. The firefish has been like that before with couple of the other additions. He would hide out for awhile and come out more and more each day. I will look more into that. I am looking to replace a McCosker's Wrasse that simply disappeared one day, probably got taken care of by my CUC.

I have not personally owned one, but I have been told by many that they get very aggressive as they get older

I wouldn't get it if you want to keep any ornamental shrimp or inverts. Mine ate 3 cleaner shrimp that had been in my tank for over a year. Other then that, I haven't had too many problems with mine, except he's very shy (I don't think that's typical though).

mine ate my cleaner shrimp also,i had my adult eating the same day i put him in my tank and is not shy at all loves to be out when im near the tank and is a pig with food

Thanks for all the advice. All I have is a peppermint shrimp which I'm not too worried about. Yes, yellow tang in a 60g. He has been thriving in the tank since the day I got him. If I see any signs telling me otherwise I can easily find him a more suitable home.

I've had a mystery wrasse for probably 3 months and I think it is the most timid fish in my tank. I think I just got lucky but I hope it stays this way.
