mystery wrasse

i have the opportunity to get a cheap mystery wrasse but, in my 175 i have a hifin shrimp goby/ randalls pistol shrimp pair which i love, i figured the mystery would eat the shrimp, but wanted to verify this?

As the mystery grows and matures, any/all shrimp are up for grabs. I have attempted to add shrimp after the wrasse and the wrasse took them apart for quick snack. I have also read about mystery wrasse attacking shrimp that had already been in the tank prior. I would say that your shrimp will eventually become a snack. I would still buy the mystery wrasse though, especially if you are getting a deal on it.

haha, theyre awesome fish...i do like them... its a small one, wonder if id have enough time to set up another tank and move my shrimp out..

its a good deal, about 70 bucks cheaper than normal

I have had a mystery with fire shrimp and cleaner shrimp for about a year now with no issues. I added 2 new cleaners a couple of months ago and he ignores them as well. But this is in a 300 gallon if that makes a difference.

I currently own one im my 29G BC and its about 1.5inchs and its with 2 blood shrimps and 1 anemone crab and it co-exists with them without problem and even sometimes the shrimp give him/her a cleaning. (THEY EAT LIKE PIGS)...(POSSIBLY WORSE)

hmmm.... dont know whether to take the risk...i guess id needto heavily overfeed to even try
