Mystery Wrasses at Sea Schor

For anyone who is potentially in the market for a Mystery Wrasse (a truly gorgeous fish), Sea Schor has several of them. The two I looked at carefully had wonderful color and were in perfect condition. I did not ask price but they normally go for about $250 in online stores plus shipping so if these are competitive with that price, it would be a pretty good deal as they are somewhat uncommon. There were also other fairy wrasses and some flasher wrasses. I did not have the time to look at them in detail as I had to get home. The SPS corals were looking great but they were not on sale until Saturday. I will go back tomorrow and get at least one of the corals and maybe a couple of interesting fish.

acropora nut,

Sea Schor also has them for $150 and he has six of them to choose from (oops, now there are only five!). He also has a bunch of other stuff like wonderful acros and super zooanthids. Unfortunately my budget is now shot.

As for Showtank, it is not close to my favorite store so I am unlikely to ever become a regular customer. Locally, I like Deep reef aquatics for their supply of rare fairy wrasses, Oceans Floor for their fish and corals, and Sea Schor for acros, lps, and an occasional fish. Of those, I probably frequent Sea Schor the most. Online, I like Live aquaria for fish; I have had great results with them.

Ooops, I forgot two other sources. Twilight Aquatics in Hawaii is incredible for rare fairy wrasses and PhishyBusiness is excellent for fish and corals, especially rare corals. Of course, that means you have to pay FEDEX priority shipping costs which makes an individual item more expensive.

I actually purchased mine from Deep Reef for $135 if I remember correctly! Great fish!

I paid $120.00 for my mystery wrasse from deepreef. Hands down the best LFS for rare fish in our area.

snorvich, I have a big male rhomboid wrasse soon to be on its way, I talked to brian from twilightaquatics, I am going to buy that big 6 inch supermale he has been showing off on his sight. Just gotta wait for the invoice to come in.

Deltecrules, congratulations on your purchase. My Rhomboid pair is doing very well and is eating mysis like a champ.

Zoalander, Yes, they are gorgeous. The male and female are colored exactly the same which is unusual. The only difference is size, female is a bit smaller.
