Nac 5a

I was thinking of getting an NAC 5a for my 40 gallon tank with 10 gallon sump. Tank is SPS with a Ritteri anemone.

I know this skimmer is rated for a larger tank but would this be OK for this tank? Does anyone know the neck dimensions?
Also, what is the difference between the 5A and the 5? I know the footprint is different. Is there any difference in the performance?

There definitely has to be other reefers out here that have this skimmer. Anyone want to help?
