+1, I agree with you Fin Mike.
I tell everyone new to the hobby, if you see these words listed with a sale or discussion, "Limited Edition, Ultra polyps, Vice, New to the Hobby, Just Released, Someone's name attached to it, I'm only letting 3 of these go, just brought up from the ocean" and last but not least, " I, we are the only ones in the world selling these", you need to put on your track shoes and run like O.J. in an airport. Because this means you are about to be taken for a lot of hard earned money for polyps only worth a dollar or two a piece. Many of which I owned 10 years ago yet they are being touted as just discovered or just released, aka Marketing 101 as Chuck said above.

I think it is very sad for all of us what's happening with those cartoon names and their price$.
The ID forum is already full of the cartoon names and that is so normal nowadays!
I also think that this thread should be a sticky one on the forum's page, so we wouldn't need to go over and over talking about that!!
There are so many other interesting things to talk about our zoas...

I agree with the first two lines A.G. 100 %
But most things are redundant I would say. There are a lot of threads I tire of so I just choose not to read or click on them. Those threads are also :deadhorse:, but we go over them and over them and over them, and that is fine and I never complain. I just choose not to open them. As long as any thread is civil and people want to discuss it, I think they should. After all, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and that's all they are,,opinions. I don't care for the ID forum, but it is there for those who enjoy ID's. I just choose not to go there, but I wish those who do the best of luck as I'm sure they enjoy it and their discussions.

Yep, I don't go to the ID forum as well and I still respect them, of course.
I just taught that if it was a sticky we would just direct the people to it and they could enjoy the conversation there, but without the warnings about those cartoon names and their price tags it would be worthless. LOL!!
But you're right, if there are people to enjoy this kinda threads I shouldn't be the one to prevent it. As you've said I still can choose not to participate like I do with the ID forum.
I believe the origin of this thread was to open peoples' eyes about the new generation of comic zoa busine$$. That's the main reason I came to post here.
