Nannochloropsis for human consumption?

Anyone here consume it for nutritional value?
I mean I know it's good for tank and all.. And I've been reading some interesting claims when taken by humans
 
anyone grown nanno in freshwater... a quick search with nothing definitive yet.. gonna try it next batch

I would highly advise against it in fresh water considering the likelihood of injecting pathogens and contracting Amoebiasis. Salt water has a tendency to kill most parasites. Unless you can grow it in a slightly fermented base I wouldn't suggest it.
Just look under a microscope and you'll be creeped out by the tiny monsters swimming around.
 
Good call, I do want a microscope..

And ya thanks for the heads up about freshwater.. Don't need to be gettin sick
