Nano 9002 question

Hi

I like the look of the 9002 skimmer........but the big question is
will it fit in a JBJ 24G tank with the lid shut?

Not sure, I know people here have done it but they did have to make some modifications. Maybe someone can chime in or perhaps you can hit the search feature when it is working. The nano forum would be another place to check.

I was short on clearance and shaved a bit off the top of the cup with a dremel. You need approx. 5.5-6 inches of clearance between your water level and your lid.

So Lakwriter if i read your reply correctly it will fit and the tank lid will shut but I need to cut the cup down a bit.

Sorry to seem thick butt hese are the equivalent of $160 over here and I don't want to get one and find it won't go in the tank

No, sorry, I wasn't clear. I don't know about your tank. I was responding more to Roger's comment about modification. You'll have to measure your clearance and see if it will fit. Like I said, you need about 5.5" of clearance between your water level and the lid, and you'll need room to remove the cup for cleaning. I was a little short on room for my Eclipse hood and just shaved a bit off the top of the cup with a dremel drill.

How much room do you have between your water level and the hood?
