Nano Clams!!!!!!

None I'm aware of, unless it's a hippopus, but I haven't had experience with them. I think you'd need more powerful lighting for just about anything...

IMO the biggest concern is the small water volume and the potential for large shifts in water chemistry

I have a derasa(sp) in my 12gal JBJ nano cube. I have had it for two weeks now and it seems to be doing great. I can already see were the edge of shell has started to grow.

2 weeks compared to the total lifespan of the clam is sorta short to consider it a happy clam wouldn't ya say?

If he plans on keeping the clam healthy in that tank, he's gonna be dumping in Calcium Chloride on a daily basis soon...:)

I have a 140 ready and waiting when the clam gets to a bigger size. For now he is doing fine in my Nano along with my superman frag and two acro. frags. The nano is the easiest tank Ihave ever had. All I do is a 50% water change ever tw oweeks with TMpro. Every thing in it grows like crazy.

50% water change will likely not be enough in the long term to keep the CA/ALK up. I know that sounds crazy, but like TI said, they just suck it out of the water in sucha small tank.
