Nano Cleaner 3165

Hello Roger

I just recieved my cleaner 3165 yesterday. If i run the pump full blast it's quiet. If i choke it back even a little it makes noise. The more i choke it back the louder it gets. If the switch is slid all the way to the minimum its horrbily loud. Is this normal?

Also the small mounting boxes on the filter, where the rail screws into, arent centered. One is more towards the left side and the other the right. So if the rail is mounted straight up and down the box sits at a slight angle. Is this normal?

Thanks!

Matt

The pump should be run full blast in this application it isn't really meant to be adjusted since given the resistance of media it tends to build up air bubbles and rattle. It shouldn't be that bad though except at really low speeds. You might double check the impeller and that the media isn't too tightly packed.

As for the mounts, they are hand assembled but they should be fairly straight. Can you post a pic?

The rattling was with nothing in the box (no media/no batting). It's not that big of a deal since I can direct the output to the top of the aquarium with the nozzle.

Here is a picture of the mount. Once again it's not a huge deal because I can put the mount on the trim of the aquarium at a slight angle to counteract the slanted rail.

More then anything I was just curious if the above was normal.

I am sorry for that, I haven't seen one like that before. If you want I am willing to get it repaired.
