Hey, can u upgrade the lights that come with the tank or is that not necessary.

You can upgrade for sure. As far as if you need to depends on what you want to keep in it.

I bought their 4.24 upgrade for the nanocube.

Prompt Shipping, good product, couldn't be happier.

The stock 12g is actually the one I modded first. I do believe they can all be modded just need a little diy know how and some elbow grease.

I also doubled my light output via nanotuners. It's been great. However, you should be careful of heat output. I'm running 2 24w pc's, with 2 cooling fans, and my tank will run a little hot if the apt. gets warm in the summer.
