nano cube into prop tank

as the title states i will be making a nano cube into a prop tank.
i had 25 lbs of live rock in it that i just took out.
i want to do 2 egg crate shelfs/
i found a pic of a nano cube already turned into a prop tank in the propagated coral forum.
for water flow i am planning to add a rio 600 with one of the water deflectors
for the filtration i am using the penguin bio wheel 150 without the wheel

im always to any comments or suggestions

What about biological filtration? Will any of the 25lbs of LR be going back into the cube? Could you break up some of the rock and place them in the back chambers?

well im taking out some of the sand but there will be some left and im going to put some rubble in the back as you mentioned

for the lighting its going to be a current 24 inch double fixture

i just emptied everything into buckets and now its ready install the racks!!!!

increase the water volume, a place for your LR, and possible macro algae by adding a sump.......

The lighting may be weak for SPS......

I have a HOB refugium on my 30 and it rocks. Mine is a CPR knock off with PS. Well worth the $100 on eBay.

the easiest way to put in a sump would to see if one of those HOB overflows would work(CPR at www.cprusa.com has them and the refugium, hometown company I might add)......one way check valves....two in line like a double backflow preventor you see on the streets(the thing with usually two wheels chained together plumbing piece comming out of the ground in front of schools and such), on the return side of the pump.

Has anyone slammed some bulkheads and durso?(Isnt that the name of the plumbing setup for the megaflows?) in the back of one of these on a smaller scale.....isn't there a partion in the back of these tanks?......man I need to read up on the nanos

PCs for the milli? Hmmm....probably survive, but not thrive and color would be horrible, in addition millis love high, high flow.

If it were me I would look into the Viper or the Coralife clip on MH setups and set it and forget it......but then heat might be an issue...someone once told me getting the parameters in a nano correct is like balancing a book on a needle. I think there might be something to that.

But jump on that sump problem and let me know before I pick mine up from Karl.

How about bare bottom? What are you planning to propagate? If sps go barebottom. If softies, I think I would do crushed coral so that you can just lay cuttings on it to attach. Of course you could always do barebottom and just lay a bowl of crushed coral in there for things to attach in. Best of both worlds. IMO don't use the sand.

well its mostly my twin bros project he plans on doing a little sps at first but mostly doing lps

since hes at work i just did everything and the sand is already in
